A prefix is a group of letters added at the beginning of a word.

A suffix is a group of letters added at the end of a word.

These word parts change the meaning or function of the base word.

Example:

happy → unhappy (not happy)

What is a Prefix?

A prefix comes before a base word and changes its meaning.
